The Bel Foundation (in Paris) selects US charity “Fuel Up to Play 60” to receive a $5,000 grant
We are very excited to announce that this week, the Bel Foundation selected US-based charity organization for children, Fuel Up to Play 60, as one of its global charities to receive a Foundation grant in 2016. Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by the National Dairy Council, in collaboration with the USDA and the NFL, to help encourage today’s youth to lead healthier lives.
Fuel Up’s mission is directly aligned with the Bel Foundation’s mission of supporting children and their well-being, with a particular focus on dietary issues. The organization will be the recipient of a $5K grant, which will go towards funding its nutritious breakfast and healthy eating programs for kids in school. This is important because nearly 75% of teachers surveyed report that their students regularly come to school hungry. Mini Babybel in the US and Bel Brands have sponsored and supported local initiatives for Fuel Up to Play 60.
